実験動物研究施設について
飼育施設の説明
役割
医科学研究における動物実験の果たす役割は非常に大きく，そのために必要となる実験動物の飼育環境を適正に維持するため，当時の医学部に設置されました。近年，研究分野のボーダーレス化が進んでおり，動物実験のニーズも多岐に渡ることから，疾患モデル総合研究センターとして全学共同利用施設に改組されると共に，複数キャンパスに対応するため，角間分室を設置して今日に至っています。現在では適正な飼育環境の維持のみならず，実験動物の飼育管理や遺伝学的･微生物学的統御，遺伝子改変マウスの作製支援などで，本学における中心的な役割を担っております。
